Valerie started her career as an active-duty enlisted member in the Marine Corp and then transitioned to an Officer in the Air Force with the Air National Guard. With a total of 25 military honorable years, she has held many positions. Simultaneously, she obtained her Human Resource Management (HRM) Degree, she had the opportunity to serve as a Federal Civilian in various roles. She’s discovered she has a passion for advocating for others, and intensive research. 

Valerie’s many experiences with diverse people of various backgrounds (culturally and economically) allowed her the ability to widen her perspective on people as we are more like that different. And those differences are not right or wrong but should only increase our level of grace and empathy with each other. These key facets, with her eager attitude and inclusive mind-set, have made it a seamless evolution into the Travel Industry. The idea of starting Equal Rewards Travel (ERT) Agency with her husband (who is also her business partner) stems from their global worldview. 

Valerie takes pride in removing the stress and hassle that can come with planning travel, knowing the outcome of one’s journey can take some time but is priceless in the end. Allowing her clients to enjoy the engagement process with her as an advisor and exploring the adventures within the journey to come. This allows clients to focus on being in the moment, making memories that can last a lifetime and beyond. Valerie’s attention to detail, dedication to her clients’ gratification as they discover the final elements of experiencing the travel. She has come to learn, anyone can have a great journey and/or vacation at any cost at various places in the world. 

Valerie enjoys getting to know their clients, which promotes endorsing the best destinations, no matter the duration or location. She knows people work very hard and must take the time to reward and reset to continue becoming their best version of themselves. No matter if you are just beginning to travel or striving as a well-traveled person, or a small business with a group of complex employees with diverse hobbies, Valerie can exceed the expectations.
